It’s been a while since my last flight again. I’m not sure if there will be new flights in the next couple of months, as I’m going to London in 12 days to start my MSc in Aviation Management. I won’t be taking my Computer with me, only my Laptop. But I’ll be home for Christmas, so maybe I’ll get the chance to do one or two flights then. Anyway, I’ll try to keep this blog updated. There will be plenty of aviation stuff going on for me in London, so maybe there will be posts about real world aviation in the meantime. I hope I’ll be able to continue my FS flying when I get back in one year. Thanks for reading all my reports in the past, and feel free to check back once in a while to see if there is something new. I’ll definitely get back to FS-flying in the future.
I felt like hauling some more Cargo. So I jumped aboard my beautiful MD-11F, and did the UPS flight 2930 from Philadelphia to Ontario, CA.
Here we go! But be warned, quite a few pictures this time.
Our routing. As you can see, we will be crossing the entire United States (10 States to be exact). Most of them, especially the midwestern states, are the so called Flyover States. Take-off will be on 09L, CRZ altitude is 35,000 feet, and we will be landing on runway 26R in Ontario.
This might help to understand the difficulty of this region. We have: LAX, a billion other airports in the region, incredible amounts of traffic on the SOCAL frequency, mountains, and often some fog on top.
Thanks for reading!
I took some old pictures I especially liked, and did some cutting, editing and pimping. Thought I’d just share some of them. Love the detail in some of those shots.
All the cutting and the applied filters might not be everybody’s cup of tea. In my opinion it’s an interesting approach at the Sim in any case. It shows you just how much can be done with the virtual pictures.
