Nordic Expedition 6: KLC 1200 – SVG to AMS
Welcome to the last part of the Nordic Expedition. After all this time up North, we’re saying Good Bye Norway and return to Amsterdam.
The flight was with KLM Cityhopper. I wanted to gain some more experience on the E-Jets and don’t forget all the stuff I learned about those nice planes a few weeks ago, so I decided to use this leg for some more practicing and the application of knowledge.
First off, a small video I created. Cockpit view on take-off and landing.
Here’s the flight info. As you can see I’ve also decided on some of my upcoming destinations. I got enough of Europe for now and have the desire to return to the States. So next flight will be on KLM 747 to NY JFK. Then I’m shipping up for Boston, just to be able to fly into DCA. I always wanted to fly the River Visual approach, and that’s what I’m gonna do. Right now I miss DC a little and so I want to pay this great city a visit in the Sim.
The routing today: Very similar to the route from Bergen to Amsterdam a few weeks ago. We’re pretty much flying across the North Sea for the whole time. Take-Off in SVG is on 36 (that’s also where we landed on our last flight). Via SID KARLI4H we will enter our route and land on runway 18R in Amsterdam. Yes, that means taxiing through half of the Netherlands again in order to get to the gate… 😉
Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed this little flight.
