Canary Island Hopping Vol.6: TRA 801 – TFS to LPA

After a little break (I had some other stuff, the weather finally got nice and I flew to Norway last week to meet some friends) I got back in the saddle today. So here’s the next part of the Canary Island hopping. Back on heavy metal, we’re flying with B737-800 on Transavia flight 801 from Tenerife South to Gran Canaria. The flight continues on to Amsterdam from Gran Canaria, but that’s for another crew. We first have to finish the islands in the Canaries.

Flight info for this short hop.

And to give you an idea of the geography, have a look at this map. After take-off from 08 in TFS, we will be vectored and cleared to land on 03L in LPA immediately.

Back on the flight deck. I didn’t forget how to fly luckily…

The last bags are loaded into PH-HZV. Aircraft was built in summer of 2002, so one of the last ones with the old-style MCP.

On our way to 08. This White A310 just received its take-off clearance.

Then it’s our turn. Rotate!

And right after take-off ATC already clears us for 03L in LPA.

Not too much to see on this very short leg.

Weather is nice, so of course we’re flying manually.

We’ve reached our gate. Next to this Air Europa.

Thanks for reading! We’re not yet done with our tour. We still have to visit Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, before heading back to Amsterdam.
