Airplaneski – A Documentary about Aviation in Post-USSR Russia

Somebody over at airliners.net posted this very interesting documentary about aviation in Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union. I can only recommend watching this, as it was not only entertaining, but also very informative and remarkable to see how things changed since back then.

This also made me wanna go to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka very badly. Actually I didn’t pass too far from there on my last flight from HKG to ANC, but sadly it was night and clouds were blocking the view. There’s a Transaero flight, TSO117, from Moscow Domodedovo with B767-300ER that I will look into after my next cargo tour. Just look at this picture, with the mighty Kljutschewskaja Sopka volcano in the background.
